The Southwest Iowa Regents Resource Center (SWIRRC) is southwest Iowa's link to higher education from Iowa's state-supported universities — University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, The University of Iowa in Iowa City and Iowa State University in Ames. The center is located in Council Bluffs on the Iowa Western Community College campus.
To provide increased access to graduate and undergraduate education, as well as other Regents university resources for prospective students, business firms and organizations in southwest Iowa.
How we serve
Through the center, area residents can access a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, ranging from the Bachelor of Liberal Studies to a Doctorate in Family and Consumer Science. Individuals can participate in credit courses, complete degree programs and obtain information on new and transfer admissions to the Regents universities. The Center is also instrumental in accessing other university resources for delivery to the region, such as presentation of cultural programs, non-credit programs and workshops and student internship opportunities.
